Celebrate Your Goals?
How do you celebrate your goals?
It’s January and the pinnacle of the pro football season is almost upon us … the Superbowl.
Folks will gather on Superbowl Sunday across the country and in various parts of the world to jump, scream, and holler, each and every time their team drives down the field and pushes the football past the goal line.
What’s interesting to me is the fact that their team scoring a goal has little to no impact on their life … zero, zilch, nada. And yet they will celebrate as if it was a life changing event.
And yet when they achieve goals in their lives that they may have worked on for days, weeks, months, even years do they celebrate with the same level of exuberance as they do for a touchdown by their team on Superbowl Sunday?
Makes you kind’ve think … what’s truly important in your life … the goals scored on Superbowl Sunday or the goals that you strive for that impact your everyday life or your family?
So the next time you achieve a goal … no matter how big or small … I double-dog – dare you to jump, scream, and holler, as loud and crazy and you might on Superbowl Sunday.
Could make for some interesting days at the office …
